Data deletion instructions

Last updated

You can remove Ember’s access to your Meta accounts and have your Ember data deleted at any time, whether or not you still have an account. Our privacy policy lists everything we collect.

You can remove a Meta connection in Ember yourself

  1. Sign in to Ember.
  2. Open the account switcher at the top of the page and open the settings of an ad account that uses the connection.
  3. Next to Connection, select Remove, then confirm.

The connection’s access token is deleted at once, Ember stops calling Meta with it, and you lose access to the ad accounts you reached through it. Reports and decision history stay until you ask us to delete them.

You can remove Ember’s access in Meta

  • If you connected with Facebook: on Facebook, go to Settings & privacy, Settings, Business integrations, select Ember, and select Remove.
  • If you connected with a system user token: in Meta Business Settings, go to Users, System users, select the system user, and revoke its token or remove its access to your ad accounts.

Either way, Ember can no longer read or change your Meta accounts. This does not delete what Ember already holds; to delete that, send the request below.

You can ask us to delete all of it

Email privacy@scout-talented.com with the subject “Delete my Ember data” from the email address you sign in with. If you no longer have an account, include the ad account IDs you connected. We reply to confirm the request, and again when deletion is done, within 30 days.

We delete:

  • your account and password, sign-in sessions, and pending codes and password reset links;
  • your Meta, Slack and GoHighLevel connections with their tokens, and any AI assistant access you granted;
  • for each ad account nobody else at Ember reaches: all of its data from Meta, reports, decisions, approvals, launch plans, creative drafts and images, settings, and its funnel tracking with every visit, lead, booking, sale, recording, landing page check and screenshot;
  • for ad accounts others still use: your name on their history, which stays for them.

Error logs and Meta API call logs expire within 30 days, and deleted data leaves our database provider’s recovery history within 30 days. We keep something only when the law requires it, and we will tell you what and why.

Visitors to our customers’ websites can ask too

Businesses that use Ember control the data their funnels collect. Contact the business, or email privacy@scout-talented.com with the website and the email address or phone number you gave it. When the business agrees, we delete your contact details, bookings, sales and the visits linked to them.
